Five Road Tunnels in Greece along Elefsina-Tsakona
Need
Smoke extraction high temperature rated and pollution control reversible Jet Fans.
Solution
- 10 x 1m diameter Jet Fans rated at 400˚C for 2hrs
- 60 x 1m diameter Jet Fans rated at 300˚C for 2hrs
- 26 x 1.25m diameter Jet Fans rated at 300˚C for 2hrs
- 2 x 2.8m diameter Axial Fans for Mid Tunnel Smoke Extract System
Elefsina-Tsakona Motorway, Greece
The project represents a new, highway, with a total length of 365.4km, designed to provide a more direct and safe connection between Elefsina and Tsakona of the Messinia region of Greece.
The road included five Tunnels at Platanos, Panagopoula, Marva Litharia, Derveni and Akrata all of which required ventilation to prevent exhaust and fumes from building up at busy times and assist evacuation if there is ever an emergency.
Our solution was a series of reversible Jet Fans that would direct fumes or smoke to the nearest extraction point.

- 300˚C for 2 hours and 400˚C for 2 hours rated Large Axial Fans
