Woods' Macmillan Coffee Moring

So what happens when you combine two of our favourite things (coffee break and cake)? We raise over £450 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

The call to action was clear. Grab your mixing bowl and apron, and get baking. And, if you can't bake, Tesco will do nicely.

Woods rose to the challenge

Staff at Woods Air Movement heard the call and went into action, providing a fabulous array of sweet and savoury treats. There were sausage rolls, cheese straws and cheese scones, lemon cakes, coffee cakes, chocolate cakes, fruit cakes, cupcakes and Victoria sponges - to name just a few. And they arrived hungry - eager to sample what their colleagues had provided.

The result; £451.77 raised - over £130 MORE than what we managed last year. A superb achievement.

Macmillan Cancer Support

For those of you that don't live in the UK, Macmillan is one of the largest charities, providing physical, emotional and financial help and advice for the whole family after a cancer diagnosis. Their World's Biggest Coffee Morning campaign has been an annual event for years and one that has been easy to embrace by businesses up and down the country.
