Last week, Woods Air Movement was delighted to open our doors to a very special group of visitors. The Retired Old Men Eating Out club (ROMEO for short), connected to the United Reformed Churches in Colchester, joined us for an informative tour of our factory. Among the group was the distinguished Sir Bob Russell, a long-time friend of Woods and a respected figure in Colchester's history.
Sir Bob has a deep connection with our site, having served as the Member of Parliament for Colchester for many years and as Mayor before that. In 2006, he had the honour of performing the official opening ceremony of our factory. To commemorate that significant occasion, a tree was planted just outside the facility—a tree that, much like Woods Air Movement, has thrived and grown over the years.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity to showcase how our factory operates today, highlighting the innovations, expertise, and commitment to protecting lives by moving mission-critical air. Our guests were engaged and enthusiastic as they explored the facility, learning about our products, processes, and vision for the future.
Sharing our journey with Sir Bob and the group was a meaningful experience for our team. It’s a reminder of the strong roots we have in this community and the impact we continue to strive for, both locally and globally.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to grow, innovate, and connect with the community around us.
