Looking for a supply of energy efficient car park venting solutions that can be used for their underground car park.
Requiring a solution for car park ventilation with fire and smoke detection.
Control panel, four specialist Jet Thrust fans and two high temperature JM high pressure two-stage extract fans.
The façade of 110 St Vincent Street and the superb ground floor banking hall have both been retained under a £20 million contract. Work will transform the building into a dramatic setting for the new fully open plan office of up to 94,000 sq ft on floor plates averaging 12,000 sq ft with a new fully glazed terrace floor at the roof level.
Within the enclosed basement area Woods provided a complete turnkey contract for ventilation of the 25 space car park.
The package includes four specialist Jet Thrust fans and two high temperature JM high pressure two-stage extract fans of 710 mm diameter with attenuators. Make up air to the space is provided via a supply fan of 1120 mm diameter. The Company has also installed the control panel, which activates and adjusts fan speeds according to the CO levels detected within a period of time.
The system will respond to fire and smoke detection with an emergency smoke clearance mode. It is designed for optimum management of the system with “on demand” control for individual fans and dampers.
Controlling fan activation and fan speeds in this way means substantial amounts of energy and unnecessary wear and tear can be saved.
Working to a very demanding project programme, Woods completed the design, manufacture, supply and installation of the car park project within a 12 week window.
