Whether it is day-to-day in a hot commercial kitchen or in the event of an emergency in an underground tunnel, our clients depend on Woods Air Movement fans to provide clean, fresh air whenever and wherever it is needed. While we have a range of standard products, most of our industry-specific solutions are bespoke – tailored to suit each individual project.

Each of our sales and engineering teams concentrate on different industry applications which means they quickly become experts at understanding what the specific requirements are. The Car Park Ventilation and Tunnels & Metro teams work with designers to ensure that harmful exhaust fumes don’t build up and to provide emergency smoke extraction, should fire break out. The ductless systems they specialise in save money in both set-up and maintenance.

The Agriculture and Food Processing team understands the importance of maintaining the right temperature and humidity to keep people, animals and foodstuffs safe and dry – preventing build-up of mould, spores, bacteria, odours, harmful gases and dust. Specialist stainless steel fans are available for industrial kitchens where an extra level of hygiene is essential, while commercial kitchens are kept comfortable with effective heat extraction.

When it comes to high rise residential or Commercial Buildings Woods fans can support the HVAC systems and provide valuable evacuation time through pressurised stairwells. And you’ll find our fans within systems built by others; we supply bespoke fans to a wide range of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) who include them in their product range.

For heavy plant manufacturing and power production, Woods has worked extensively with OEMs to develop industrial fans up to the task, including those designed specifically for hazardous air extraction (using ATEX compliant fans). We also supply fans suitable for Marine and Offshore use and work closely with the MoD to ensure longevity, even when operating in extreme conditions.

Staying up to date has never been so important; our newest sector hadn’t been considered 20 years ago but today the unique requirements of purpose-built Data Centres, where keeping computer equipment cool and safe from smoke damage in the event of a fire can literally save millions of pounds.
